Download and install Alpaca Manager to learn how it works.
Unregistered users can enter details for
up to five animals.
The next time you start Alpaca Manager, the new version will be used. If there have been any structural database changes included
with the update, your existing data file will be updated automatically.
Version 6.2.4 includes the following changes:
- Add the Groups option to the Animal Summary report.
If selected, the Group Codes of the
Groups the animal is a member of will be shown across the page separated by commas.
- Add the Save and Load buttons to the Find Contacts andFind Animals criteria forms.
These buttons allow the current selection conditions to be saved to a file and loaded from a previously
saved file.
- Bug Fixes:
- Correct a problem in the Contact Wizard when updating Marketing and Group details.
Version 6.2.3 includes the
following changes:
- Modify the installation to add support for Access 2010.
- Change the Find Shearing Summary form and Shearing Worksheet report
to show the animal's primary colour.
- Add the Show Units option to the Diary and Medication selection tabs on the Find Animals criteria
form to allow finding based on whether a Diary or Medication Event uses particular Units.
- Show the animal's location on the Calendar
Events report.
- Bug Fixes:
- Fix a problem when adding a new Fibre Authority to the reference table.
Version 6.2.2 includes the
following changes:
- Sign the application with the latest Digital Certificate.
- For animals with a Status of 'Dead', allow entry of new
Diary Events.
This will allow Post Mortem and other results to be recorded after the animal has died.
- Don't allow a Mating Event with
an Impact of 'Update Mating Date' or 'Add Cria' to be added to a Mating record if a Cria Ear Tag has been selected (i.e. the mating
is 'Complete').
- When resetting the Terminated status for a Mating record, clear the Cria Ear Tag as well.
- Hide the Work Item check-box
for 'Complete' Worksheets.
- Bug Fixes:
- Fix a problem on the Mating Event Name Details form where the Notes field cannot be modified
if 'Schedule a subsequent Calendar Event' is set to 'No'.
Version 6.2.1 includes the following changes:
- Include the owner's name in
the animal Analysis file.
For animals with multiple owners, the column will contain "-- Multiple Owners --".
- Allow double-clicking
on the Zoom Photo form to open the photo in the user's photo editing program (if available).
- Bug Fixes:
- Ensure the Due Date is shown
in red when an event is overdue on the Calendar Events report.
Version 6.2.0 includes the following changes:
- Add the option to import
ABV Records from the AGE Analysis CSV file.
- Add new frequency options for Calendar Events:
- Daily, every
- Weekly, every
- Monthly, every
- Quarterly,
every
- Yearly, every
Selecting one of these frequencies will require entry of a number of the selected units.
- In the ARI Version, renameBarcode No. to Microchip No. and hide the Microchip No. field on the Details tab.
- Add a caption for each of the three photographs
for an animal.
- Add an option to show all photographs on the Sales Sheet report. Photo 1 is always shown on the first page. If the
'All Pictures' option is selected, Photo 2 and Photo 3 are printed on the next page.
- Add an option to set the foreground and background
colours for the animal's name in the header of the Sales Sheet report.
- When recording the death of a female animal, automatically
mark all uncompleted Matings as Terminated.
Return
You will be prompted to Open/Run or Save the file.
- Select the Save option.
- In the prompt that follows, select a folder on your computer
in which to store the file.
The download will take around 30 minutes on a 32k dial-up connection. If you have problems downloading

- On completion, open the folder and double-click on the downloaded
file (Paca-ManV6.2.4.exe).
- Follow the instructions to install Alpaca Manager.
Existing users, click the Help/About menu in Alpaca Manager to check your current version.
