Alpaca Manager Upgrade

The upgrade from Version 4.2.3 (or earlier) to Version 5 introduces significant changes to the product.

A fee of $NZ100 plus GST is charged for this upgrade.

WARNING: If you download and install Version 5, your data file will be automatically upgraded to the new format. Since this version requires a different Registration Key, your copy of Alpaca Manager will revert to an unregistered status. You will no longer be able to add new animals or use the Import and Export functions.

If you decide not to upgrade, the only way to revert to your prior version is to reinstall the previous version and restore your data file from a backup. There is no ability to convert your data from Version 5 to Version 4. Any changes you have made to the Version 5 data file will be lost.

Before installing Version 5, you must uninstall your current Version as follows:

Start Alpaca Manager and take a backup copy of your data file (use the File/Backup menu option on the Main Menu).
Close Alpaca Manager.
Click the Start button and choose "Control Panel".
Select "Add or Remove Programs".
Select "Alpaca Manager" from the list of installed software and click the "Remove" button.
Follow the instructions to uninstall Alpaca Manager.
Close "Add or Remove Programs" and "Control Panel".

NOTE: Uninstalling Alpaca Manager will not delete your existing data file. This is normally stored in your "My Documents" folder (but you may have chosen to store it in another location). You should not delete the "C:\Program Files\Paca-Man" folder manually as this may contain other files (for example, Error.Log) that will be used by the new version.
